Want Something a Little More Special?
Book a Private Bike Tour!
A bike tour is a fun and efficient way to see so much of the city and really feel like a local, and for organized groups of 2 to 12 people, a private tour is really the way to go! Private tours are ideal for team-building activities, educational trips, conference programming, social jaunts, or just for a unique adventure.
The advantages of a private tour for groups are many. Private tours are:
Exclusive – A private tour means group members get special treatment from their very own tour guide.
Customized - A private tour focuses on the group’s interests, including the sights and tales they want to experience, the route they want to take, and the pace they prefer. So that means the tour can feature subjects within history (maritime trade, African-American history, the Colonial Era) or beyond history (architecture, flora, contemporary Savannah), or both!
Longer-lasting - Each private tour lasts 2 hours, but can go as long as 4 hours. The beginning/ending times can be adjusted to fit the group’s schedule.
More comprehensive - Your private tour guide becomes an exclusive “rolling concierge” to the restaurants, night life, shopping, culture, and character of Savannah, in addition to the historic sites, interesting stories, and beautiful homes and gardens.
Types of Groups
The types of groups that favor a private tour vary:
A private tour makes an excellent corporate team-building exercise or fun conference program option. Whether to augment the proceedings, or simply as a diversion for conference attendees or their spouses, a bike tour is just the thing for filling up those free periods between sessions with a substantial and entertaining activity!
School Groups & Scout Troops
A private tour on bikes is great for students of all types, for it makes learning about Savannah and its sights a true experiential adventure! Safety is paramount for all groups, and group leaders can rest assured that Savannah Bike Tours takes special care with youth groups getting around town on bikes. Also, inquire about group discounts available for school groups, scouts, and other non-profit youth groups.
Girls Weekend/Guys Weekend, Bachelorette/Bachelor Parties, Etc.
What could be more fun than a tour with friends on bikes? From intriguing historic figures, pop culture claims-to-fame, and a lively social scene, Savannah is the place to be! Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, a bike tour offers excellent opportunities for group photos for the scrapbook or Facebook as well.
Cyclist Excursion Groups
A private tour on bikes of Savannah’s streets and squares while in town on a cycling excursion completes the adventure. Great satisfaction comes from staying active even when sight-seeing! Tour participants are welcome to ride their own bicycle.
The perfect answer for that special weekend away is to enjoy a private tour on bikes with that significant someone! Whether adding to an already special occasion or just sharing some down-time together, a tour built for two is a great way to re-connect. The city tour features a leisurely cruise of the thoroughly romantic historic district along with suggestions of places to check out later.
Reserving a Private Tour
Groups Over 12 People
The largest number of individuals taken out on a private group tour at one time, and therefore the maximum number of bikes available to reserve, is 12 for the sake of tour quality and safety. For larger groups, it is possible to split into 2 shifts scheduled at separate times (not concurrent), if schedules allow. Multiple days are possible. If splitting into two groups, one half can do another activity while the others ride, then switch.
Procedure for Scheduling a Private Tour for a Group
